Fast Company is a full-color business magazine that releases 10 issues per year and focuses on technology, business, and design. They had gathered and analyzed data for 6 months in 2014 to come with a list of top 50 Most Innovative Companies. The list below is the top 10 companies in various sectors that they had assessed from thousands of enterprises.

1. Google
  • For becoming $350 billion giants that let loose almost too many innovations and milestones to count.
  • As the cost per click - the rate advertisers pay for an online ad continues declining, Google is pursuing projects that could reinvent the company and society.
2. Bloomberg Philanthropies
  • $452 million distributed in 2013
  • Sophisticated, data-driven solutions for every step of the process, from identifying priorities to monitoring progress to scaling pragmatic solutions.
3. Xiaomi
  • For reinventing the smartphone business model in the world's largest mobile market.
  • Staking out a significant piece of the Chinese market with its low-cost, feature-rich devices.
4. Dropbox
  • For becoming everything in cloud
  • Expand itself to be in the people's digital lives.
5. Netflix 
  • For creating a great TV in a new context, using an already proven model.
  • It has turned the TV network into an app, ­available on any device.
6. AirBnB
  • For making the most of its hosts.
7. Nike
  • For setting a sustainable example
  • Launced an application named Making which gives designers access to 8 years of scientific research and analysis of products.
  • This app was rolled our to students at London College of Fashion's Centre for Sustainable Fashion.
  • Development of outfits may used the guide in this application by Nike.
8. Zipdial
  • For turning a consumer cheat into an asset.
  • It is a mobile marketing platform.
9. DonorsChoose.org  
  • For setting its insight on education reform.
  • An early and popular example of online crowdfunding. 
  • The site allows donors to pick an individual class or project on DonorsChoose and support it directly for as little as $1.
10. Yelp
  • For sealing the deal with its users.
  • The online service offers user-generated opinions on local restaurants, doctors and others.
